Went to the track sunday in huntsville.al with a 2002 4wd silverado reg cab with a 6.2L,LS7 cam, headers cold air, electric fans,3000 stall,4.10 gears and 29'' tall tires. My 1/8th mile times were 8.16 with a 1.82 60 foot on motor and 7.53 with a 1.65 60 foot on 150 shot just wanted to see what ya'll think I am fairley new to running a truck. I am hoping for 7's on motor. O'yea I run those times in 4wd high

not shabby at all, and Welcome to PT.net
When does your nitrous come on? I usually take it out of 4wd high right after the 1-2 shift.

Pretty good times. Good to see someone local with the L92's. I'll be in Birmingham tomorrow and may go to the dyno if I get a chance. Do you have a 6.2L motor or a bored out 6.0?

What does the idle sound like with the LS7 cam in the 6.2? Mine is barely noticable but i've been considering downscaling due to mine bucking some at low speeds with the 6 speed. Wanting some more low end tq to improve fuel mileage as well.
I still haven't dyno'd mine yet but from the last time I took it to the track I made 1 real pass (others were shot due to joyriders) and my 1/8th time was 3 tenths or so slower than yours. Kinda dis-heartening since I have 11.5:1, pocket ported heads, a little better intake etc. and I was on slicks. Oh yeah, and I weigh ~400lbs less. I won't do the gen4 swap over stuff to run the LS7 but considering having one custom ground to the same specs.

LS7 Cam Doctor:
... sent an LS7 cam to Cammotion.
