first time at the track coming up
#42
to say the least the track was a dissapointment, opening day was cancelled do to ice/snow still being on the track. yesterday i made 8 passes, 2nd pass ended up spinning till the 1/8. track was unprepped and complete **** i avoided the water box as some of ya stated, tried messing with tire pressure launch, burnouts etc...best run was a 14.8@90 60" 2.328 9.545 1/8. of course the last run where the jitters were wearing off, and i was starting to feel comfortable they close the track. can honestly say that ill be going up again soon once the weather/ track conditions are better, definitley addicted since the first run

well my bad that was a typo 14.9 just so its set straight. custom i do have the slip along with my half track burnout 16.7 pass lol. zo6 thanks man, it was a good feeling once i started to get comfortable, now since ive gone i gotta say i cant wait to go again!! unfortunitley no 4wd passes, i was afraid of breaking something or putting it into the wall with how bad she torque steers in 4wheel. nonnies thats what i "attempted" to do every pass lol hard preload let off the brake and roll into her just like how i do on the street. as soon as i got to 30-40% shed just spin like hell. and that is for damn sure brotha! it just sucks right when i was starting to get comfortable thats when they shut the track down. unfortunitley none of my buddys recorded my passes but theres a little 10 sec clip of a burnout up on the youtube account

im thinkin so lol, i kinda regret not trying 15lbs like my buddy suggested but theres always next time. and hopefully the track will be a little warmer than a whopping 18 degrees. and i think some srd assasin ladder bars might be my next investment before any more power is added. the 60fts are downright embarrasing and from what my buddy was explaining yesterday, every tenth i can knock off at the 60" could equielate to 3tenths at the traps?

Well on a mud tire or whatever your using.. if you get that low, your only getting the outside edges to "grab". the center of the tire is goin to roll in most the time.. 25psi seems to be about the sweet spot.

mabey i should just leave em at 20 then, theyre 35 max, i tried 30, 25 and then 20 and 20 definitley worked best out of everything i tried. mabey 20 is my sweet spot then? and i have a feeling my unbalanced tires probably didnt help me any either. from what my friends were saying it looked like during the burnouts that you could see it clear as daylight being off balance/wobbling. i know you clicked off 12sec et's but what were your 60fts?
n i know its nothing impressive but this is the only "action" recorded at the track
