Default First time at the track with the work truck

Took the work truck to the track and managed to get in 4 runs before the rain shut it down. Didnt change a thing when I drove it in from the 40 minute drive over there, and didnt even change the tune between runs since these were shakedown runs. No vids because my camera man got there right as it started raining.

So Ill go ahead and start making excuses I had the throttle cable on the higher slot on the TB, so when I put the pedal to the floor it was actually only ~75% throttle. I didnt realize this until after my last run and right before it started raining, but on the last run I was standing on the pedal and got the throttle to ~80% but it was still slightly short shifting at about 5000rpm. Tire pressure was about 30psi, same as what I drove in with. Left on about 4lbs of boost and boost controller kept it at 7-8lbs the whole way. It kicked out a few times when the boost really hit, but other than that wasnt too bad. Timing at WOT was also only 10*.

Details:

Reaction - 0.832
60ft - 1.890
594ft - 7.603
1/8et - 8.111
1/8mph - 88.58

Im guessing 4500lbs, but im about 250 and filled up the tank right before the track and had tools in the back, and have a 14b and 80e, so who really knows. I need to get it weighed... but with 4500 online calculators guess about 460 rwhp. Not to bad for part throttle, low boost, low timing, IMO.

The important thing (for me anyway) is I drove it 40 minutes there, made 4 runs without a single hickup or surprise, and drove 40 minutes home without a single issue. She is obviously just getting warmed up

For comparison, my best time in my 04 with my 408 and tvs1900 at roughly the same boost was:

60ft - 2.427
594ft - 8.489
1/8et - 9.028
1/8mph - 83.59

Yea I felt like a dumbass when I complained and someone pointed out the lower slot. I had it there originally, but forgot about it when I took the intake off to fix the fuel rail leak.

Glad to hear it's alive! Which throttle body are you using? I think mine is in the closer hole on my FAST tb...

Good deal Richard !

I Know how ya feel!

Ive driven my truck bout 3 hours to the track, made three 11.6 passes, and drove another 3 hours home, This is just awesome in my book and speaks volumes for the GM drivetrain!!!!!!!!

Im glad you admitted your throttle hiccup, When i first took my truck to the dyno for tuning, TJ noticed my Throttle wasnt opening all the way, i felt like a doucher!! He adjusted my bracket, and damn that last 15% really helped!!!!!

Now you guys have me second guessing myself.......

Somebody pm me tomorrow and remind me to check my WOT. I'm drinking, so I doubt I'll remember.
