Default First Trip to Track...TQ MGT Owns Me.

After the blower install. It is a D1SC, BONE Stock motor, stock manifolds, etc...

Didn't run it with the 4l60 but made some passes with the 4l80. Stock 4l80 stall and NO Torque Management taken out.

No real impressed but, I guess the TQ mgt. can make a big difference. Temp was about 75 degrees. Typically at 12 psi, but was only making 9 psi tonight.

60 ft--------------2.2942
330 ft------------6.2295
1/8---------------9.3316
1/8 MPH----------80.57
1/4 ET------------14.01
1/4 MPH----------100.87

I am hoping with a stall, No Tq MGT and some tires that it will run pretty good. I don't know how much tq mgt kills it, but I can't really tell if it is going to run good or not. I think this thing was pulling so much timing it wasn't even spinning much off the line. Just left off idle and flashed the convertor.

Thoughts on if this thing is going to run or if it is making power????

Congrats on running for the first time! With practice I am sure you would be in the 13's, easy. Why the 3lb. loss of boost?

Thanks! I'm not sure...could just be belt slipping or the weather...or tq. mgt does do some of it because I when I downshift from 3rd to 2nd it will bog and drop boost etc....

Hmm you get the 60's down and you will be better. 100mph is good for mid 13's. Don't think belt slip is a prob. You def need a stall in the 3k range to take full advantage of that blower.. It will get better

Yeah, I think a stall will make a big difference especially with a 4l80 and this blower. It's just a little disappointing spending this much on a supercharger, and not running faster. On the street 2-3 months ago it was making a solid 12 psi...now around 9 psi, so I think that is leaving a lot of power on the table.

Could the TQ management really be killing it a lot too?

Don't worry at all. You've got a badass setup. Heck my first time out after the turbo install was only a 9.54 in the 1/8th. I sure thought I spent alot of money for very little results... got better and better with time. It takes a bit for everything to get sorted out. You will get there. And yes the tm will hurt you. I have none.

It seems awfully strange that you'd have TM still in something with that extensive of a list of mods. With the stock 80E converter you should have been able to 60' under 2.0. I'd say you have alot of work ahead of you.

tq mangement kills these things and you need a stall to help your rpm's stay in your power range whoever tuned your rig should know better than that!!!

He does know better than that and it was my decision to leave it on...I told him to leave it in because I just got the 80 in the night before the Power Tour and I wanted it to last longer than 2 weeks (60e blew second gear in 2 weeks) just a little gun shy after that deal.

I had him leave tm in because the 80 is bone stock with stock tranny cooler.

Yeah, I believe stall is a must.

Compare your truck to mine. I run 8.5 in the 1/8th 1.8 60ft with ET streets. You should be there with the proper tune, converter.
