Nearly max effort is what I said and cam, and all bolt ons is max effort to stay with a 4.8. The argument is constantly made to stay 4.8 or swap. Maybe if I started with a 4.8 I would understand it more.

But to me it makes no sense to spend $1000-$1500 and have virtually no where to go N/A. When you can spend $1000 or less and be making the similar power with massive potential for up grades.

If I had a 4.8 it would be swapped instantly or FI. I can understand being proud of your work but for me money needs to be spent to get the absolute best bang. There is very little value doing bolt ons and cam to a 4.8 therefore it is useless to me.

You make no sense... How is bolt ons anywhere near MAX effort? A fully forged bottom with different heads, studs throughout, turbo or supercharger... Now that would be MAX effort.

Might be useless to you, but not everyone can afford/have the ability to swap engines... If that was the case dont you think everyone would be running 400"+ engines? Instead of being so negative about what someone has to work with, why dont you try and be encouraging?

you opinion is invalid. This is a person who thought a 4.8 was a V6.LOL So much experience with them that you can make an opinion.LOL
4.8..... 125 shot
Why dont you post a video that actually show the time you ran or an actual time slip, all I have seen is numbers typed by you showing you ran a 13.4. Correct me if I am wrong, but when you ran the 14.2 you were also on slicks. I made all my runs on street tires, now with the 3.73s and locker the traction should be better, and if I threw some slicks on there dont you think I would drop a little more time.

Swapping a 6.0 for a 4.8 costs less then the modifications mosts guys in this thread have done to there 4.8s. $1000 or less and you have a 6.0 under the hood. It is a simple direct bolt in with a computer tune. Some guys don't event tune the computer. I don't reccomend it but guys have done it plenty of times.

Then you havn't ever paid attention or simply missed my posts. I have always had video and time slips of my truck running the times I ran.

N/A
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxG1B...4&feature=plcp

Nitrous

I had slicks on the truck because I was running nitrous that night I didn't usualy spin out of the hole off the bottle.

again, I dont see the video showing you ran a 13.4, time clock shows nothing. Post the time slip. I have seen the 14.2 video plenty of times, and the actual time slip from that run. I saw a video that showed you ran a 13.9 at 98.7mph. You claim your fastest time is 13.4 at 100mph. So you picked up a half second with just over 1 mph. Also, these guys posting times in the upper 14s and lower 15s may have a high track elevation as well.

NO ITS NOT MAX EFFORT unless he is running one of them custm 2500 throttle bodies and no front brakes! the only thing that is funny is that custm2500 is coming down on somebody. When I read his threads and seen people bashing him i kinda felt bad for him now not so much.

Sorry outlaw, I might think outside the box but one thing is I am not a liar. I will never ever make up a story to make my self look better then reality. Here is my two or my best slips along with a N/A run from the same day.
