I would think 13's with a little converter, tune, and the lt's. The right converter, and tune should still get pretty good mpg, and be able to tow with those gears. A 160 T stat was worth .2 on my old 5.3L 4x4...

yes i totally forgot about a 160 T stat i got one on my camaro. I am going to do the LTs and TBSS intake and hope for the best then tune and so on

with full bolt ons and a 3200 stall my stock 5.3 that we threw in and had 240k on it went 13.6

Problem is finding a good tuner around the DFW area.

The Diablo he has is capable of doing a lot more tuning abilitys than the newer p.o.s's.

It runs damn good what what is done to it now. I'm sure low 14's if not 13's with that stuff done BO.

thanks chad I know costume tunes are alot better but ill keep my programmer for awhile I like having the ability to change shift points and all that jazz plus I am sure a tune over my programmer will not net me no where near what headers and a tbss intake will do

The headers is a great mod, but dont waste your money on the tbss intake imo....

its gonna cost you atleast $425 for the tbss intake swap
200 for the intake from the junkyard and 225 for the xlink to run the throttlebody

I did the swap wasnt happy and went back to the stock truck intake

yep lost .2 on 1/8 and .2 at 1/4
.4 tenths slower and 4mph slower
5.3 full bolt-ons with 212/218 cam
truck didnt like the intake at all
