Default Getting it dialed in - 370 with KB 2.8L

Went to the local 1/8 mile Sunday to get some shake down passes with the 3.5" pulley making ~10# and the new 2bar SD tune. I was trying to richen it up all day to no avail due to fuel pressure drops above 5300rpm. Time to work on the fuel system then go back and try again. Anywho... here are my two best passes of the day. http://bigkid.ls2.com/vids/BREAKAWAY_101908.wmv (7Mb so you may want to right click, save as)

I am guessing mid 11's @ 118ish. I am hoping to have it in the low 11's when I go to Hattiesburg (1/4 mile) at the end of Nov.

Great job Kenny. What were your short times? 1/4 times on those passes were low 11.6s to high 11.5s

On the nittos 60's were in the high 1.8x range. On the Hoosiers, 1.69-1.70 leaving off idle. I tried stalling it up once and spun to a 1.80 with 18# in the tires. That was my last pass of the day. Next time I go back I will lower the pressure and see if I can stick it for a low 1.6x.

It feels pretty good around town. Moderate accleration is usually in the 2000-2300 rpm range. Mine feels a little looser around town than it really is due to the 4L80. I had basicly the same converter in my built 65 and it felt a bit tighter around town but looser on a full flash. This one feels looser around town and dosnt hit as hard on a flash. That could be a result of the 2.48 first gear I have now too.
Basicly my full setup is:
forged and studded 370
ported 241 heads
cam motion 223/229 .57x 114+4 cam
KB 2.8L w/3.5" pulley
Pacesetter headers
full 3" into single 3.5" custom mandrel exhaust
Fuddle HPTruck 9.5" 3600 conversion converter
Stock 4L80 w/Transgo HD-2
Stock 3.73 gears w/Eaton posi
Hoosier 28x10x16 on stock wheels (track)
Nitto 305/45/18 on 18x9.5 Eagle 219 (street)

Great times for your first time out Kenny. You need to quit letting the other side get the jump on ya. LOL.
