getting quicker
street tires, open diff and 3.23 gears.... ran a few 8.6x's and an 8.58 in the 1/8th. i am happy.
slips are upside down, i think, but you can flip em. reaction times were great all night too!
slipped the tires off the line, and a bit on the 1-2 shift.... but all in all, i am happy. i just ordered some yukon 4.11's and a posi.
new times in a week or two.... anybody wanna come over and install them? lol

I had no idea that those mods would wake a 4.8 up that much. That rocks! Very nice truck.

that is the closest to a full eighth that the computer could generate. i will get it to the quarter after my gear change..... but i assure you i can hit mid to high 13's right now. i was spanking new GT mustangs by 3 cars or more, they run around 8.9 to 9.0 here..... aren't they high 13, low 14 second cars?
either way, my first run with the truck was a 10.50, bone stock. i have dropped 2 seconds in the eighth in a matter of 6 months.

I dropped .64 in the 1/8 going from 3.42's to 4.10's, but I didn't have much converter at the time. Still, I was thrilled.

DAMN!! i was figuring i should drop around 0.4, but .64 would be amazing! i am footbraking it to about 2500 off the line, and shifting at 6400. i would be very low 8's maybe high 7's if i dropped that much! i wish you wouldnt have told me that, now i have unreal expectations.

So, your only running 600ft and the 1/8th is computer generated?
Only thing that gets me on those generated times is that the et is off for the mph and 60ft.
Go browse through the fastest truck list and look at the people running 8.5-8.6 in the 1/8th and look at there mph and find one close to your 2.19 almost 2.2 60ft.
They are trapping at least 5mph OVER what your slip shows.
Or you can check out the guys running 76-77 mph in the 1/8th and look at there et. They are .3-.5 tenths SLOWER than your 8.5.
The computer is off on the mph by about 5-6mph or the et by .3-5 tenths.
Anyway, whether the clocks are computer generated or not, they're consistent and it shows that you are getting quicker!
BTW, with those 4.11s you will pick up at least .4 tenths coming from the 3.23s in the 1/4 (given traction).
