Well the STS drama continues. I ran a best of 12.69 @ 106.87 on 9.5psi. Made a total of three passes and couldn't build boost off the line to save my ***. The last pass I did an absolutly rediculous burnout to try to get enough heat in the turbo and exhaust to build boost off the line but I still couldn't hit full boost until halfway through first gear. On the street when the turbo is hot I can launch at whatever boost level I want and it hits full boost within 200rpms of the launch. I checked my logs and my 0-60 tonight was 4.3 compared to 3.96 last night on the street so I am leaving a lot on the table on the launch. Oh well, this wasn't bad for the first time to the track. Here are the passes.

Race weight 5150lbs

1st pass
Launch 4psi and 8psi total
60ft......1.97
333.......5.432
1/8........8.316
MPH.......84.89
1000......10.837
1/4........12.988
MPH.......104.80

2nd pass
Launch 4.5psi and 9.5 total
60ft......1.981
333.......5.436
1/8........8.292
MPH.......85.83
1000......10.783
1/4........12.902
MPH.......106.38

3rd pass
Launch 5.5psi and 9.5-10psi total
60ft......1.88
333.......5.268
1/8........8.105
MPH.......86.08
1000......10.584
1/4........12.693
MPH.......106.87

I am going to get it on a dyno and get it tuned in at 12psi when my new injectors get here. I also need to figure out why I can't make boost when the turbo cools off a little. I know that I have a leak between the turbo and exhaust flange so that may be sealing up when it gets hot. I think I can deffinitely get it into the 11's with some practice.

Pep Boy's specials 270-65-16 AT tread. Oh yeah, I'm 4wd.

I did see one of the scariest sites I have ever seen at the track tonight. An eight second Vega hit the wall going through the traps and caught fire. Thankfully the driver was not hurt due to having the proper safety equipment but the car burned for about 25 minutes until there was nothing left.
