A 2.4 60ft is real slow for your mods...what was your mph in the 1/4mile?
Where you spinning? You should be able to do a 2.1 60ft on street tires at least...so that's .6 seconds off the line...then the stock shift points hurt you a couple of tenths and the weather wasn't ideal either so there's a couple more tenths. Get a real tune and some traction and you will be a second faster. Good Luck.

get that sucker tuned right!
and btw... reaction time has nothing to do with you elapsed time.
your time starts when your truck leaves the line.

That was probably hurting you as well. Dont load your suspension. It costs you time to unload it and you dont get a very effective wieght transfer. Stall it to 1000 and let the converter flash and launch for you. I would say you should have ran a 14.4-6 that night.

I agree with Beau, especially if you were on street tires. If traction is not an issue or you or running slicks.....Well I still think that the 2800 stall is a bit light for that cam on a 4.8. I would think a 3000-3200 for that cam would be perfect.

I was running the same cam in my 5.3 crew cab, with a 2500 stall and turning 14.2's but with 2.1-2.2 60's, but a 2800-3000 would have shot me into the 13's solidly.
