Default going to the track tonight

I finally got some 26" M/T ET Streets. They are used, but should yield some good results. I'm hoping to get my 12 sec slip, NA of course. No weight reduction, just tailgate down. The 22's will still be on the front, lol.

No. I'd like to say my truck doesn't like that track, but it's completely new now. This was the first night they re-opened. I ran better this time than the last time I ran at that track. I don't think the track was hooking very well or the tires I bought are just used up. My best 60 foot was a 1.94. my best 1/4 was 13.54 @ 99.81. On stock tires at NPR my 60 foot was 1.96 and 13.47 @ 100.11. There where a 3 or 4 F-body that couldn't hook up either. All this was less bothersome than all the people standing around the staging lanes and burnout box. Maybe I'm getting old or something, but I would never stand in lane in front of someone doing a burnout. I would stand 1 foot away from their truck while they where staging either. Total phucking chaos if you ask me. There was no one directing the different race classes to the burn out box either. I ran against 9 and 10 sec cars for all 3 runs. I was a free for all basically, I think Ted Nuggent was even there, lol. I think I've made my last trip "FOR RACING" to SCR.
I have no problem going there to watch events though. All the new work they did there did look nice though.

OK, rant is over.

Yeah, we have a track with less than perfect organizational skills, it's quite homey but people walking all around the staging area makes me a bit nervous too.
Mid 13's are nothing to scoff at!

I know. It's damn fast for a heavy truck. It just gets me down a little when I know it capable of more. I will go to the other track soon.

that's unusual of state capitol. the past couple of years they've been puttin in money to make the track better and it's shown that.

I sure results may very from car to car. You can see the track itself has changed. I'm just speaking from my experiences there. Some of guys on another forum that am on said they couldn't hook either, but some said it hooked great.
it's not just the track for me, it's how it's run. SCR has MAJOR safety issues on keeping people out of the burnout box and track area. Maybe it's different on big events than on test-n-tune night. I would hope so.
