I think every "street car" event should include at least a 20 mile drive, and it has to idle using its own cooling for 15min.... no external fans etc... Thats how our track does it. It has to have a valid state registration and inspection as well.

either way around, the truck was rolling out hard

It's probally for the best then. Fast street cars are not for the intellectually challenged.

Being that it has 4 tires and an engine? You dont know anything about the car.

Slip for that run was:

me - him
reaction: 0.645 0.785
60ft: 1.513 1.267
330ft: 4.250 3.806
584ft: 6.157 5.822
1/8et: 6.585 6.338
1/8mph: 105.16 87.36

That was actually my slowest run of the night. Pretty sure it was too much fuel since the trims were being weird on the drive up there I added some before I got on the track. I trapped 107 earlier in the night. Someone said the guy ran a 6.10 on the next run.

You guys must not see too much sarcasim out that way. But since were on the subject of "street" vehicles, why don't we meet somewhere in alabama. You bring your street truck, and I'll bring mine. Steele? Lassiter mt? Being that foose is more ellusive than a gobbler during turkey season, we can have a go at it. I'll be comming from atlanta. What do you say?

Many races in the area have these rules but not everyone is subjected to them unless "protested" by a competitor. During a true street car event any car participating can be "protested" and put through a thorough drive, sit, and run to deem them a true street worthy car.

IMO the "protest" rule is fair. Any racer/car should not be subjected to a long drive/waste of fuel and money at every single event. Only when there is something obviously out of line and someone protests.

By no means am I taking credit away from Atomic, he obviously has a great running truck and has accomplished quite a bit with a true fullsize truck. But it is not the fault of the other guy for having the ability and reliability of trailering his rig to and from the track as shitty as it sounds.
