Default helmet specs and requirements

Im planning on going to the track for the 1st time at OSW and was just wondering what were the requirements for the helmets? I should be running any where from high 11's to 12's with the 125 shot( I hope lol). Do they have to be SA2005 rated full helmets? The cheapest I can find is for 259.00 at summit.
Thank you

I believe so,
Look at the Scorpion brand, I found a full face for less than $200 at a local motorcycle discount retailer.

At ennis anyone faster than 14 has to have a helmet. Mine is a SNell 2005 certified hipped off e-bay and is good enough for any track.

Thanks everyone for your replies, I may try to check the motor cycle shops for a snell certified helmet...is that a different type of certification than SA2005 and as long as its snell does it matter that its a motorcycle helmet?

just be sure to check what rules the track goes by. either NHRA or IHRA.
