i hit a wall performance wise and im getting annoyed
+1 for the longest title ever
anyways i hit a wall, and it's pissing me off. heres the history. my best 1/8 N/A pass ever was 7.72@88. that was with a truck intake manifold, 226/226 112+4 cam, my current heads and pacesetter headers/ORY.
since then ive added a ported fast 90mm, kooks 1 7/8 stepped to 2" headers, true dual 3" exhaust, a 231/239 111+2 cam, circle d tripple disk, bogart wheels and mickey thompson tires.
i snuck out to the local 1/8 last night. i am currently running a mail order tune from wheatley that was made for the pacesetters...i call it mail order because he did it on his laptop and handed it to me. no wideband or anything but charlie has so many logs on my truck it's not even funny. the mail order should be very damn close if not perfect.
da last night on my runs was rougly -50 to -100 over the night. my best run was a 7.70
i did a leak down test a few weeks back so i know the motor isnt hurt. i just don't see where the restriction is. everyone else with similar mods is trapping up around 90mph.
cliff notes:
bogarts+mickey T+ported fast 90mm+cam+converter=not cheap parts=.002 gain in time

I've gotta tell ya stew, 12.72 isn't very fast in the 1/8th
All kidding aside, I would definitely get that thing hooked up to a wideband and see where you really are. Also, if it runs better on the street than it used to, then I'd be happy with that, track times are everything.

Thats what i was thinking lol.^^
I cant say ive researched it at ALL, but these huge headers everyone is using just seems beyond me. But thats just from the top of my head comparing to sizes of turbo setups, which in reality there isnt much comparison.

hey stew, how about your 60', did it go down? either way you see it you are racing a truck and it needs all the lowend it can get, work on the lowend since that is where it counts on a big truck... throw the 4.56's in there and get it over with....
