Im down hear working is vegas so I thought I would hit up the run what you brung street leagle drags. Temp was a nasty 90+ deg, Da was 0ver 5000', and my truck idled over two hours in traffic prior to running. I was running the .68 exhaughst housing, and had to take the hood off(latch broke) so my MPH was screwed. Second pass I turned up the boost to 14PSI and was off to a low 10 sec pass, and I found the limit of the stock PM rods. It laid down right after the launch, but didn't let go until ~1/8 mile. My 60' was a 1.45 on that pass. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/M...f=RECENTVIDEOS

OMG. I'm sorry about the motor, but that seems to be way farther E.T. wise than a stock 6.0 has been pushed before. I heard the crowd on the last run, did the rod go through the block?

Thanks guy's! I kinda figured the engine might let go, I hit 18psi the other night testing, and it has had a vibration ever since. I had planed on pushing it until it let loose, so I could find the week link, just wish I hadn't ruined the block. The engine was allready hurt before I went to the drags. Truck just wasn't running right.

Yes, the rod broke in the middle of the beam and sawed the block almost in half. Im almost positive I shortend the rods until failer, Diesels do it all the time. The truck had massive power down hear in vegas, (2300' elv) compaired to Colorado (6000').

I was wondering why you had the hood off at the track... Unfortunately I didn't get to see you make a pass as I was always in the staging lanes, it was a really slow-moving night with the big crowds & multiple breakdowns. I saw you get towed off - sorry to hear about the block.
As you already mentioned, the 2100' physical altitude here throws a lot of tunes off - the heat & dry air push the DA well over 5000'. As odd as it may sound I usually gain a few tenths even in places like Phoenix.
