Made it back in one piece
I trailered my truck to Nelson's for a retune and made it there fine. We tuned the truck NA with speed density tune and then tried nitrous but didn't work. Went back to his shop and found my new dry solinoid was eating the fuses. So unplugged it and tested the wet shot only. By this time it was 5 pm and I still had to drive 3.5 hours to edinburg since the bastards at SAR decided to close the track at the last minute. After 30 minutes we got truck on trailer due to traction problems and headed to track. We got there at 9 pm and I quickly changed tires, removed tailgate and front light. I ran my first pass and spun pretty bad trying to hook the 50 shot off the line. I got my slip and was told I needed a Helmet but didn't have one and couldn't borrow one. I put on a white hood and closed my windows and headed back to staging. Somehow I sneeked in without a helmet and ran my last pass but when it was over my truck died and I went into the sand. I was towed back to parking area since truck wouldn't work and I couldn't get it onto trailer without a winch. Then I tried starting it again and by a miracle got it running. We left track, spent the night and drove away in the morning when this lady tells me I lost a tire. I check and sure enough trailer lost rim and tire when studs broke off. So we unloaded my truck, removed slicks and put street tires, and drove off with two trucks and a trailer with 3 wheels. By the time I got home I had filled up two extended cabs three times on the return trip alone. It turned out to be an expensive trip but it was worth it since I reached my goal.

I did have a smile on my way back home but it went away every time we pumped gas. As for stages I have a 50 shot dry to take off and a 150 wet 1000 rpm after the first for a total of 200. Nelson told me that I'm really choking it down with a stock throttlebody and intake but I need to chill out for a while, finish my last semester of college, and get a house. I'll start modding again in a few months.
