Model of consistency - 13's with new setup
I went to the CA Speedway today and managed a 13.99 @ 95.19 spinning. It was shocking since I did 18.69 on the first run with the street tires, lol.
1st Run on street tires:
R/T ....... .384
60' ....... 2.846
330 ...... 8.214
1/8 ..... 12.416
MPH ..... 57.14
1000 ... 15.965
1/4 ..... 18.698
MPH ..... 84.14
I spun the entire way trying to peddle it, lol.
2nd Run on drag radials:
R/T ....... .200
60' ....... 1.960
330 ...... 5.685
1/8 ...... 8.861
MPH ..... 76.94
1000 ... 11.637
1/4 ..... 13.999
MPH ..... 95.19
I spun a little on take off but it grabbed traction quickly and took off. I had a passenger with me that weighs 220lbs. Track officials told me not to take him any more since I ran faster than 14.
3rd Run on drag radials:
R/T ....... .597
60' ....... 2.454
330 ...... 6.836
1/8 ..... 10.149
MPH ..... 74.60
1000 ... 12.999
1/4 ..... 15.412
MPH ..... 93.39
I spun and kept fighting it the whole way.
4th Run on drag radials:
R/T ....... .223
60' ....... 2.224
330 ...... 6.042
1/8 ...... 9.276
MPH ..... 75.72
1000 ... 12.097
1/4 ..... 14.494
MPH ..... 94.01
I spun through first a little but was ok from 2nd on.
Last time out at the track my best was 15.5 and a worst of 16.0 with a bone stock 5.3L with just tranny mods.
This time a had a low cr 408 and a 2600 stall tc. I dynoed 250hp and 290tq last but switched heads(P&P 6.0 vs AFR 225's) to increase cr a bit from 8.0:1 to ???(8.8 I think).
It was spinning just one tire so next mod will have to be some sort of posi unit. Which one is the best?

3.73 gears and MT 28/11.5/16 on stock 16's. Either I never had a limited slip or it broke because I am spinning with just the passenger tire. A buddy at the track suggested the detroit true track, is that a good unit?
I am pretty sure he meant me because of my title. I was all over the place hence my consistency, lol.
BTW, I tried to brake stall it to 1500 on the third run but spun badly so I went back to just hitting the gas off idle on the fourth run and just kept my foot in it till it stopped spinning as I was tired of trying to peddle it.

I have been reading about them and others and I am a bit confused. It seems the Detriot Tru Trac is an all around good unit for the street and occational track. The Eaton LSD/Posi might be a bit better for the track. And the Detriot Locker for all out track use.
I just want to be able to smash the peddle without having to peddle it.
