Mustang GT Kill....5.3 Silverado
I have a 99' Silverado 1500 4x4 5.3 auto 3.73 limited slip with cat back exhaust and a CAI. Saw a 94-96? Mustang GT (with exhaust) doubt if he had more than that and intake, playing with a 2001 stang GT. The 01' wouldnt bite so i pulled up quick behind the 94....he passed the 01' and slowed to about 30 I got next to him and we caught the next light. Looked at him and we both took off on green. Took him by about 2 cars to 60...let off and he caught up....went from a 30 mph roll and took him by 2 and was able to get out in front to pass him. We caught up to traffic so he just crused by. Coulld tell from the look on his face he was pissed he just got beat by a truck. I also just filled up and had about 100lbs worth of tools with me. Think this kid just couldn't drive or can a fairly stock 5.3 (300hpat crank) hang with this year stang (240hp at crank??) ?

How much do you think its putting out? Stock is 275 hp possibly underrated? I dont know never seen a stock dyno number but I would think im at or at least around 300hp at the crank. What are you thoughts?

I didnt use spray though... I think the 5.3l's were rated at 280hp and 320tq stock werent they? Maybe It was a v6 or that person didnt know how to drive a GT... But a kill is a kill.... BTW... 85GMCSTREETBEAST... Nice truck.. total sleeper..

96-98 gt's only had 225 hp. They ran low to mid fifteens stock, so a u could beat a bad driver easily. He will need more than a tune to keep up with the newer ones. My 99 ran a 13.6 with bolt-ons and my wifes 05 gt ran a 13.4 stock.
