Default My 402 1/4 mile results

Finally got the new motor installed and running it with a mail order from Nelson. Full street weight it went 16.84 @ 97 with a 2.78 60 ft. Then I took off my right headlamp, put the et streets on, and it went 13.69 @ 99. Then I took out the tailgate and opened the cut out and got a best of 13.38 @100 with a 1.85 60ft time. I was very happy and was only expecting to run high 13s.

I plan on running the truck in San Antonio so I can join the 12 sec truck club on motor and the 11 sec truck club on the nitrous once it's dyno tuned.

when do you plan to do that? You should meet up with Closet Redneck. He was trying to hit an 11 tonight with his 5.3L

So, a heads/cam/bolton 402 cubic inch motor running low 13@100mph , seems a little slow..how much do you weigh? Maybe a dyno tune is what you need. Nevertheless, you got better than what you were looking for

It's our high DA here in west texas air. I'm going down to SA on the 20th of april to run low 12's with no change in mods.

I'm sure with an accurate tune and better air you'll see 12s all day N/A.

Ok, that makes more sense...good luck on the runs, and keep us updated.

To put his time in prespective, there was a RCSB SRT-10 out there that is a buddy of mine. He can drive a standard better than anyone I have ever seen, and he could only get a 13.6 NA, and only a 12.8 on a 75-100 shot. Tarinitup's times are VERY, VERY respective for the air we have to deal with here. Some of ya'll are oblivious to how much air has to do with drag racing. But when he goes to SA, and runs mid to low 12's NA, ya'll are gonna be callin BS, so I'll probably go with him and take some video. I'm tired of having to explain ourselves after every good pass we make, and some sit here and try to put it down. Gettin ****** old. How about we have a gathering here. Let's get everyone from Houston, SA, and all their surrounding areas, and have a little West Texas fun. Then maybe, just maybe, when you go back, you might have a little bit more respect for what our vehicles are running here.

Get your panties out of a bunch! There has only been one guy in this thread who didn't get the climate factor, once it was explained he said it was now in perspective. No need to run your mouth about being sick of explaining anything in this thread.
