Cool My Avalanche ran alright

Mods:

Stock 6.0L bottom end
706 casting (stock 5.3L) heads
222/224 .581/.581 112 LSA cam
Thunder Racing 7.400" pushrods
Patriot Performance dual springs with Ti retainers
Pacesetter was-painted-til-the-truck-was-started headers and y-pipe
Part of a Vararam VR6 (don't have the upper part installed)
GM 8.1L 42 lb/hr injectors
Some time with HP Tuners

Stock fan
Stock catback
Stock t-stat (sort of)
Z71 package = 4.10 gears
Removed rear covers, but side compartments are filled with crap, spare tire still on, 1/2 tank of gas.

Ran 15 passes tonight, October 2nd. Best pass was a 15.15 @ 90.5 MPH with a 2.29 60 ft. I was in fact getting some KR at the top end, but I'll work that out for this Saturday's track day.

Thought 8.1's were 31#s

Nice times, you need a converter for that beast.

It weighs in around 5800 lbs I believe, plus me (I'm 210). I'll know more on Saturday when I run again, gotta hit the scale.

Actually, I had LS2 heads on there previously but one of them had an issue so I was forced to swap them out. The 5.3 heads give it more low to midrange torque without the need to spin to 6500.

These trucks run in the high 16's, low 17's in stock form. I can't complain about low 15's with it. I might worry about it if I were planning on keeping it, but I've got to sell it. Already have a thread up for it and whatnot...
