what size tire r u running at the track? why r u shifting it so low?

if u r doing a radix then i would got with 3.73 and when u go to the track put the 25" tall tire, and shift it around 6000 6100,and stall it to around 1500 to 1600 and roll it.hope this helps

I ran a 13.9 @ 96 with full bolt ons (minus pulley), yanktt3000, and 4.10's. The 60ft was a 2.0 and that was still spinning a little bit. The DA was good that night if I remember correctly. I believe the truck weighed in at 4500 with me in it when I ran that... tailgate was on but the spare tire was out.

You got a lot left in it man you just need to fine tune the setup
Sounds comparable as I see similiar times as I whittle it down. And I ran better tonite too. Another PB, & a best 60' as well.

If u go back a few posts or to the beginning, it's there too, I didn't have a chance to do any tuning at all, due to time constraints. Rear is a 275/70/16.
I'm heard that same thing, I need to stall it up a bit, then roll as u said. Havin a stall is new to me, so I gotta learn how to use to my advantage at track.

Plain as day, it was in my sig when u posted Joe.

In a lil better detail: 2.18 60' - a PB

14.44 @ 96.35

The other 2 runs were both 14.6s. I hit limiter on run 2, since again I didn't get a chance to change limits / pts. Even tho on the street, I shifted w/o a problem at the same RPM; the track exhibited a different characteristic. I just tried to duplicate what I did on street just a few days back. I guess track plays a part even in that.

Also, I didn't know what tables to change under trans for shift pts. as HPT calls it something like RPM vs ... vs ...
Fuel cutoff is just fill in blank, not a figure out which table.

Last run all I did was stall it to ~2k, then manually shift it. The 1st 2 runs were just manually shift w/o bringing it up against stall. They're goin the right direction.

I know you're kiddin, but I wouldn't know how to do that if I wanted.

Tonight, I finally tweaked my fuel cutoff, & shift RPM limits. WOW! Maybe it's the placebo effect, but it goes. No intrusion now. I tweaked a few tables, but not all of em.

Silly question, but how are y'all shifting at say 6100-6400, when my tach only goes to 6k?
How do u know?

I'm assuming that they're setting the shift points and letting the trans do the shifting...

Manually shifting...as soon as it hits 5800, shift. But actual shift points, regular or performance (tow/haul) let trans shift for me. When it hits 5800 on tach, I move the lever up one notch, which ends up being 6200 -6300. I only know that because I log it on the HP Tuner.
