My STS event, Great times & New Best!!
Hey guys, wanted to get my results up but been going non-stop since Thursaday. Long story, but basics was one bogart got damaged in shipping. So Friday I had a local shop check it out, didn't bend rim, but the lip was flat in one spot. They was able to touch it lightly to bring it within spec and good to go. Then installing, the7.5 back spacing is a ton and needed more hacking. I'd recommend 7. After a few hours of grinding and test fitting it was a go. They look damn good, but it's a very snug fit. Also the new slicks were to big, ended up installing the 29x11.5.
So we finally got on the road around 6pm and a long 5 1/2 drive later we made it. On to race day, truck ran great, track went from awesome, to pretty good, to ok. I got a go pro showing the slicks that cut a 1.51, clean as can be and a later a 1.70 with rocks peppering the tire at the starting line. There was a about 20 I'd say 4x4 guys running and put a hurtin on the track. They are cool to watch though.
Anyways even in the heat and a extra safe "get me home please" tune, truck still cut a NPB of 10.70, then a 10.67. I'll take it! Had fun, made it home, now I'm in Texas as I type this for work again!! Also won $100 for being fastest truck to drive thru the gate!! Pretty damn cool.
It was great meeting everyone and putting faces to names. Also cool seeing some damn fast trucks run and some nice clean rides of all makes/models. Look forward to next year!
Couple pics and vids. I got more at the house, but I uploaded these from my iPhone so I hope they don't suck. Lol

You know I am glad you made it down for the event! Good to meet you and watch your ride. Great job putting ANOTHER GM in the winners' circle! STS event was a blast. Mostly late model trucks hauling butt, great times!
