Naa, if you look at the post, he ran one run at 97mph and another around the same time at 101mph. Dropping a little more weigh and some free flowing heads can gain a few mph easy.
So whats the current 5.3 n/a record at right now?

Has there been any break throughs in tuning yet?
Im going to call BS on gaining 6mph with dropping a little weight and some heads. Especially when you cant tune to the fullest extent. You said the 101 run was with weight redux too, so what the hell else did he drop to make up THAT much mph, its not like the heads gained you 40hp with that little 210* cam and only 350 cubes. 408s have been known to pick up 60rwhp going from stock to the best aftermarket heads but thats on 11.5:1CR motors and having the awesome tuning ability that we have so something isnt being mentioned here. 6mph isnt exactly easy to come by N/A.

These big pig Hemi's are going to start knocking at your door very soon. Lock your Chevy's and Ford's away and get ready for history to repeat itself. The Gen III Hemi will be coming to your town so run and hide in your garage! I repeat. Run and hide! Don't be caught out on the street when the Chevy/Ford eating Hemi show's up at a location near you. lol

Just so you know this aint the 60s/70s anymore, the GENIII/IV architecture has taken hold in the racing industry, so much so the short stroke LS7s had a rev limiter imposed on them because they were tearing everyone up so bad, I wonder where the dodge boys were/are....
Guess what we just got two new big blocks that will allow over 500 cubes with two others in the works, including one by DART that is a totally billet affair, Dodge is going to be playing catch up for a very very very long time with the new stuff.
You Mopar guys cant live on the glory of the old Hemis forever, the motor you got in your truck aint the ones that terrorized the streets 40 years ago and has very little in common with it anymore sans the hemispherical combustion chamber.
For what ya'll have to work with Im impressed but in the grand scheme of things a Hemi with all the **** done to it and head work and alot of weight reduction is still almost half a second slower then a 5.3 rcsb, Im ready for ya'll to get some good tuning so I can quit hearing that as a crutch. Then it will be the weight factor when ya'll are still slow, but you dont hear us bitch about losing to a camaro(most of us anyway), we know we are modding a heavy truck, buy a lighter one to start off with. My question still wasnt answered on the tuning thing, when are ya'll going to get software like our HP Tuners?

wait till these new 07 singlecab gm's start coming out more and more, i'll bet they will be in the 12's with no cam or heads. with the possibility to hit low 12's n/a.
