I know but it's just a 5.3 and believe me it's hard to move that tranny with a small converter and higher gears. I usually would'nt use anything lower than 4.56 i made the decision to try those gears and converter combo cause its a small motor. The gearing seems fine cause it would probably come out at around 6900-7k rpm if it had'nt shifted to 4th. Unless i was planning on trapping more mph i would change it but we'll see maybe it will help our 60 with 4.56

i bet you would have trapped 128-129 at 7300 rpms

i went 10.8 at my best trap speed of 127.8 locking the converter up, rpms across traps were 7250 roughly you get that shift fixed then really watch her fly

the truck is a 4l80e right? mines a 4l60e so yeah the rpms would be a tad lower for ya

Fukn gettin it on that pass. That truck will come out harder with taller gears though. It gets out of first too fast imo.I have yet to see a purpose built nitrous car/truck whatever not run better geared down within reason.

this is awesome and congrats on the new milestone fellas!
either 4.56's or a taller tire should help. 1.52 60' ain't no slouch but judging by how it launches there is room for improvement. you can say 10.50's or lower.

Good runs but why is that stock bottom end 5.3 running almost as good as the 408 in your sig on the same shot??
