Im not exactly sure on the compression ratio the heads were millled .045 so i would say close to 10. We're running BR7EF cold plugs and a seperate fuel cell with C16.

i wouldnt go 4 link if i had to redo it i would go ladder bars dont get me wrong i like my 4 link glad i got it, BUT i think for the price ladder bars would have worked just as good if not better

i would have to agree on no more than a 250, dbrods has been running a 250 shot for a few months now on a direct port, going through a plate might be a different story.. i do plan to test my setup to the fullest but only on a direct port system i do know mine will with hold 7500 rpms without issues, its been there alot of times lol

Did u upgrade your rod bolts. The way i see it is the weak poing will be the pistons and rings followed by rod bolt. But if u can do everything possible to decrease detonation the better. Look at FI guys pushing crazy power on conservative tunes, race fuel, meth. The good thing is that these motors are really cheap at junk yards so it's fun to experiment with.

no i hadnt done nothing to the short block, its all stock, i agree with the weak point being pistons, rings followed by rods, BUT i also change my oil after every 2 weekends of racing regardless how clean or dirty it looks i try and keep the internals as clean as possible.. or fresh i should say, spark plugs get changed once a month, i know its probably over doing it but its part of keeping a nice setup together..the biggest and most important thing is the TUNE.

I know what u mean skeet. I use amsoil oil and the truck is always parked,it gets expensive after a while,we change plugs almost every time we hit the track.
I think I am gonna start changing the oil sooner, this motor had like 30k
