im going to try a 26" tire for now till i can figure out if im swapping gears or not. right now im favoring the gear idea to bump up my RPM

FYI, v8 and i are pretty close to same race weight with our record times, (~4100).
i'm crossing the traps around 6k on a good day, and cam stops pulling at 6k. (see how it flatlines at 6k)

hopefully those 26" tall et streets will still benefit me with the ls6 intake swap and u/d pulleys.
here's the slip quick...

mine is a stripped down version too lol, take some weight off that heavy pig j/k, you would see another .5 drop in the 1/4.

oh yeah i'm traping at or close to 6k.

thanks man!!! i can see your peaking crossing traps so your where you need to be. im need of gear for my setup which should drop me drastically. im around 4600 for race weight. im a LS trim truck that now has full leather and leather on door panels that along with all my skirts steel wheels. aftermarket stereo setup and etc. i carry agood bit of weight. if i did a diet then yes but its my DD so i dont mind carring the weight.

see my cam pulls till 6400 they claim and alot of dyno sheets ppl see 6500 before it gets flat. i also have an issue with traction on the 1-2 shift

well one thing about a DD is street tires, do you drive around with slicks all the time? If not then your not in a DD mod lol

I run mine with full weight somtimes as well, but we go to the track to see how fast we can go, either street form or drag truck form. It just makes sense to run your best at the track either way. Go for the fastest times you can get and run the fastest times in street trim. I know its not going to run what it does with all the weight gone but I do know what it will run on street trim and street tires. low 13's to high 12's in cold weather and 13.6@99 in hot weather.

I used to run my old truck at the track in full trim, just drop the tailgate, but it never gets your best times now does it lol.

either way have fun and glad your getting faster.

good times, just for some comparisons, i've pulled a 1.72 on the 3:73's, 4:10's are up next, hoping for a 1.65 60ft.
