no one can ever say those hemis can't take a beating, I think your truck is always running at 75% or more throttle. is anything done to the trans?

I'm digging the hemi grunt. Trucks got it's own sounds, I like it.

Lol I take it prettyeasy on the streets, but I do spend more fine ast thetrack than on the street
Trans is stock with a transgo kit
Had a lose pinion snap the drive shaft which then broke off the trans tail housing couple of months back at about 64k mi.
This trans came from a salvage yard from an 07 with 6k miles
Since then I've put about 2k miles on it
I think the orig trans is probably tired but ok just needs a tail sjaft assembly to be ready as a spare

Man those dodge 5 speeds must be pretty stout. A Gm 60e would have blew up if you tried going low 12s in a heavy truck like yours.

the 545RFE seems real strong and durable for normal WOT runs.
Really it's hard to imagine any trans going though thousands of burnouts and track passes in the first place. That's why I picked up a spare trans and put it in storage a year or so back.

they are less durable with WOT downshifts though, I think most that smoke these transmissions do so goofing on the street, roll racing. down shifting and lighting up the tires at 60 mph too many times.
