Default New times with 4.10s and TrueTrac...

I got in 14 runs tonight, the track got empty towards the end of the night... My previous best was a 9.8 @ 75 w/ 2.4 60ft (8th)... Tonight I ended up with a 9.47 @ 75.96 w/ 2.3 60ft (8th)... The changes were 4.10s, TrueTrac, shift kit, and a better tune.. The 9.8 run was @ 35* and tonights temps were 40-50*.... All in all I am happy with the little 4.8... The crazy thing was on my 1-2 shift it would lose traction, not bark the tires but spin them bad.. My logs show my mph goes from 44 to 66.... Check out the pic from my log, I highlighted the shift, noticed the min and max values......

Next to come will be a small converter and then the turbo...

I am running 265/70/16 general grabber UHPs... It hooks at the line but spins on the 1->2 so I am thinking it is in the tune... on the 9.4x runs the truck would shift to the side a little bit... Maybe it was just the track prep...

could be track prep, my camaro would spin a little on the street, but at the track i always had to let out on the 1-2 so i didnt slide sidways into the lane next to me.
i had stock rims with 245/50/16s
you could tune the trans to shift softer but i think its time for drag radials

Yep drag radials would be nice, but I dunno if I want to speed the extra money... I am saving for an engagement ring and a turbo sooooo, drag radials would just be a luxury... I am going to try lowering my shift pressures some and maybe add in a little more TQ Mgt. to soften up the shift a little more... The funny thing on the street it just chirps the tires, at the track it spins them...

I don't think you're really running fast enough yet to need drag radials. I'd work on the tuning and fix that shift issue. More stall would fix that.

That is what I was thinking, I am not making near enough power with the little 4.8 to need DRs.... I do plan on working on the tune thou, a little less pressure at the shift and a little mor TQ after wards....
