Yes.. the problem with the E85 is that it burns HOT!! you get less power thus leading to worse economy but you still come out ahead on gas prices

not all 5.3s are flex-fuel. I think to get a flex-fuel 5.3 its like 3-500$ more than a non flex-fuel 5.3

im going to guess mid to low 15's... if its cool enough and w/ traction you might squeek a 14.9 out of it.

I don't know how you got a 14.6 with that...factory freak,maybe?

I ran a 16.12 at 87.38 on a 65-70 degree day (truck in sig) against a '00
5.3 rcsb with 3.42 , K&N FIPK and a hooker 2-in/2-out cat back. His was a 285hp version and ran a 15.52 at 87.45 . Alt. was about 760' ,hum. approx. 45%. It was in January.

I ran a 15.66 @ 86 w/ a 2.3 60ft last week in 88-90 degree heat and humidity w/ 600 miles on my 06 5.3l w/ 3.73's bone stock no weight reduction at all. I think if the weather was better and a little more practice launching she'd do a low 15 or better.
