Default NHRA~Track rules for trucks?

I've been to the strip with my bikes but never in a truck.
What can I expect as far as requirements for my bed lid? Should I take it off or will they let it slide? Should I even bother taking off my gate?
I would like to see what my truck does in full street trim but if they will be bitching about anything I just assume take it all off.
Thanks guys.

Yeah, you can run in full street trim if you want, just no A/C on is about the only thing that I know that they bitch about...puts water down on the track. Must wear long pants and if running under 13.99 you need a helmet. That's about all the major things I can think of...

Just looked at your sig...bring a helmet, you'll need it if you can get traction. First pass is a freebie as you won't know what it'll do but after that you will need it...Zed

Same rules for cars. 13.99 for a helmet. 12.99 for a driveshaft loop. 11.49 for a roll cage.

But what about bed covers? Do they have to be secured in any special way besibes the hinge and strap that my checker cover has?
Maybe I'll just take off all the **** and hope for traction.
I don't want to roll down there with a full tank so I'll be comprimised for traction already, I thought the weight from my cover and tailgate may actually help me off the line to the 60 ft marker.
But maybe I'll be better off just taking it all off and launching in 4HI and bumping it to 2wd after the start.
I guess I have a couple of weeks before I go so I'll be doing some practice launches out in the farm country around here.

I have seen trucks at the track with bed covers run before, if it is secured properly I do not think they will complain.

Please dont go in 4low, you'll blow everything to ****. You cant switch out unless your in neutral and it severly changes your gear ratios.
