Slowprocess, he is having problems launching the truck as it is a beast. He also still has the stock tranny under the truck but he has a built tranny tha will soon be installed. So if he works on tractions, gets that tranny in and gets it tweaked to perfection he will shave that half second. Also, if anyone knows anything about hemi motors it is 392STU. He is the one who built that wicked 370 stroker so I'm pretty sure he knows what has to be done to get that truck faster.
Stu, is Fulson4's truck up and going yet? I really want to see what one of your 392 strokers runs considering it's very possible this 370 stroker will get 11's all motor.

the ability to increase timing alone would get him there. Better weather. Our speed-density trucks will run more than .5 slower in the summer versus winter. Better gearing would help as well. Now that he has a 7000 rpm, he could go back to a 4.56 gear with a 26" tire in order to take full advantage of the extra rpms.

kkd60- Going back to a 26" tire and a 4.56 gear will assure that he doesn't get those supersonic 60footers, eh? He'll have to break down and build a suspension setup to go with that built motor and that built tranny. Hmmmmm....starting to sound like a fairly "built" truck to only go 11s.

Im happy you guys are making progress getting your heavy pigs to run faster but Im still not impressed when a bolt on cam and stall 5.3 rcsb truck can run the same times. I know you dont have the proper tuning but you did buy a dodge knowing that you dont have that ability...

The days of the 12.5 cam only records are numbered, (im at 13.0's with bolt-ons only) thats all im saying. I will just throw this out there too, I go 1.80 60fts with stock converter, I know his truck has alot more in it.

not saying they dont exist, but where are the bolt-ons and cam only 5.3 trucks running 12.5's. When you say bolt-ons, is that including heads? We have some true bolton trucks running 13flat, I dont know any 5.3's close to that on a stock cam, stock converter.

the built transmission isnt adding performance, its adding durability. He has a 6.1L with ported heads/cam/Headers. What are the 6.0 reg cab chevys running with ported heads and a cam?

11's! It takes the chevy guys more than 6.0 to go 11's n/a too, and they have less weight and better tuning abilities. I dont see where they cant respect where this truck is at now? The truck with all the bugs worked out will be high 11's n/a right there with the GM products, which have been on the market for alot longer.............
