Default Ran the truck yesterday

New PB with the 80e. Still confident it has more in it. Track was crowded and I have a weak battery. Had to leave the truck running in the staging lanes so I could power the bottle heater. The engine never got cooled down to the point that I make my better runs. IAT's were sky high all day.

First pass of the day. Soon as I arrived and go unloaded. I was able to basically drive right up to the line and go after I go unloaded.

60' 1.68
1/8 7.41 @ 92.0
1/4 11.68 @ 114.3

A whopping .03 better than previous best but I'll take it considering this is with the 80e. The trans performed perfectly all day.

Nice job, the 80e definately robs some power and is heavier so running faster with it is great.

Def. nice times. And running faster, but probably also less worried than when you had the 60e...

very nice Roger! Yeah, the number is small but the gains obviously impressive. Why do you have to leave your engine running for the bottle heater? Once mine has hit temp it uses very little power to maintain temp, I can turn off the engine for an hour.

Not too bad, FYI I weighed my 4l60 with 12" TB converter and my 4l80 with Edge 9 1/2 convert, both ready to go in the truck and there was only a 25lb difference.

Yeah the peace of mind goes a long way.

Ran the battery down once sitting in the lanes and had to jump it. I had the fans on this time and an epic wait time in the lanes. Paranoid after that.

Yep I'd read that the weight difference between the two was right at 22 lbs.

Going through the logs. Due to the IAT's and my conservative timing setups with nitrous I'm pulling a butt load of timing. The 11.68 run started at 17 and down to 12 total timing through the traps. Clean and no knock. Helps explain why I didn't see the mph I expected. I'm back to the track in a couple weeks. Going to make up 3 or 4 tunes with different timing profiles to try.
