Default reaction time question

allright I ran my truck last week at NED and understand most of my timeslip, but I guess I don't totally understand the reaction time thing- I know a .500 is considered perfect right? Do lower numbers mean its quicker? My R/Ts were .100, .053, .292 and .427. Which is the best one? Thanks for any help, and my best run was a 16.6@83, only mods are a FM muffler and a cai.

I've heard that too and maybe someone can explain it but the lower the number the quicker the R/T.
Your best was .053, that's pretty damn good!
Enjoy the sport!

it depends on the track. many tracks use .000 as a perfect light and others use .500 as a perfect light.

when you raced do you see the red light at the bottom of the tree come on? if you pull between 000 and .499 and dont see a red light then at that track a .000 is a perfect light. if you see a red light then a .500 is a perfect light.

no red light, and the website said .500 is perfect? Doesn't make sense... Or am I still not understanding something?

Must of the tracks have switched to .000 as a perfect light, some have stayed with the .500. The lower the number is the better the reac time on the .500 tree

You are correct, the timer starts as soon as the front tires allow the light beam to reconnect, it ends as your front tires break teh beam at teh end of teh track.
