relocated the battery
to the back
Parts:
made a box/cradel with some scrap aluminum at work
250amp Summit cutoff switch
30ft of 2ga automotive wire ($1.88 per foot at advance auto)
battery hold down
2 side post adapters
2 15in 2ga wire with clamps

Why is there 2 positives going to the battery? BTW it looks good. I plan to do that myself so thanks for posting the info.

it shouldn't be too bad.
i had to put it on the jack to get it in place so i could bolt it in.
i just have to reverse the step to take it down.
yes, the insulation is clear.
i'll be sure to spray them down with some CPC from the Navy
instead of running both wires to the battery as per the diagram, i just ran the 2 wires to the same post on the cutoff switch, then ran 1 wire to the + battery side. is that what your talking about?

Right but I am asssuming that one is for the charging, however you are defeating the purpose of the safety switch. Why dont you just connect the alternator to the junction box under the hood and it will charge the battery so long as the switch is on. Just my .02

the purpose of this set up is not only to shut down the battery in case of emergency but also to shut down any feedback coming from the alternator. this is as per NHRA Regs.
