If you're quoting what the NHRA states, obviously that aluminum is of a thick enuff size to meet that spec as well.

there was plenty of space under there that wasn't getting used, plus it's sort of hidden except for the kill switch rod.
i actually use the bed of my truck to haul all my stuff around, especially to the track.

Maybe I'm missing something but according to the diagram and pictures if you shut down the switch the wire to the alterantor always stays hot regardless if the switch is on or off. It's direct right?

He has it done correctly. Opening the switch breaks the circut and kills the flow going to the electrical system. Although the alternator is directly coupled to the battery, open the switch, truck dies and alternator stops turning.

Very nice job Lance! I have actually though about doing this myself. Since I need to move my battery to make a CAI for the KB, I may as well move it to the back rather than the other side of the engine bay. I, like you, still haul stuff in the bed of my truck so that location is not an option.
