should be going to dragstrip for first time Saturday
I'm thinking I will go to Gateway Raceway's final test n tune on Saturday. I think it's $25 to run. I've never been so I really don't know what to expect. I honestly want to go just to spectate more than anything and see some nice cars. I also plan on going to the dyno sometime this week. With the stock LQ9, stock 4.8 intake and exhaust and a Wheatley mid grade fuel tune I made 267/296 (2nd gear). Since then I've added longtubes/ORY, ported TB, and cutout (magnaflow 22" muffler too) and Charlie got the tune fixed for 93 octane. I'm expecting maybe 300rwhp and 330rwtq. At the track what should I expect to run? It's a 2wd ecsb (3.42 rear w/ 31.5" tires ). 14.5-15.0 sound about right? I'm gonna lose the spare tire and take off the stock catback.
You say you want to make runs in good air?
Based on the current forecast, the corrected elevation this Saturday should be between 900 feet and 400 feet...BELOW SEA LEVEL. It should be ridiculous!
Remember that, if you want Gateway to remain open into November next year, we've got to support this event. You packed the place on November 1st. Let's do it one more time and show 'em we're serious. Hope to see you all there.
