the 26's will hurt more than help on the big end... I'm already crossing the traps at about 61-6200 on these tires, I want something the same size, it seems to be working well

whats your rpm range on your cam? you want to be near peak power of the cam when crossing the traps to be ideal. if your cam peaks at 6500 then use the 26s, with 29s you would be alot lower in rpms and hurtin. now if your cam is peaking already then yes step up

i ran 410s, 26" tall tires trapped 112 at 6400/6500rpms so yes use 26s if your cam has the range...my cam peaked at 6400

I know exactly what you are saying, but I can feel the truck nosing over on the top end at about 1100 feet, I think its the intake manifold and heads just flat out not being able to flow enough. Even on the bottle... So these worked over 241's and a TBSS manifold should put me being able to run those tires a lot better. I think I would have trapped 102-103 on motor and probably over 110 on the bottle if my topend could have flowed enough.

Also, were these numbers and RPM's you gave with the 60E? I know you've had a couple different trans setups in that thing. Just makin sure we're on the same sheet of music.

The cam would pull all the way to 65-6600 with the right heads and intake.

I would go with the taller tires, it's closer to what you run on the street. It also leaves room for down the road. 4.10 is normally a N/A gear so the taller tire will fix that some.

Thats what I plan on.... I was looking and Hoosier just came out with a new drag radial size too 295/65-15... I think that tire would be worth grinding some calipers. I may just pick a pair up out of a junk yard and give'er a go...

yes with the 60e.....ditch that intake of yours, get the ls6 and rev it. you should be faster since your not getting all the power from your setup by not reving it as it should. and im not a firm believer on the tbss intake. the car intake would benefit more

wrong...i trapped 104+all day on 26" et streets. swapped to 28" hoosiers and dropped to low 103's.

weather also plays a big factor in trap speed.
on a good day i can do 106+ n/a and on a bad day 101+ n/a

I would go with some 26" or 28" at the tallest... The bigger tire will just take more power on the big end... You have to remember that unlike a street tire that you run every day these slicks grow as you go down the track, and will take some of that gear away from you.... lmo...
