So this is where all the fast trucks are at. Cool! Just wanted to pass this info along to you guys:
Sport Truck Magazine is looking for fast trucks to compete in this year's "sport truck challenge" at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky August 2-3rd, 2008.
In a nutshell, we throw a show called "Havoc" and anyone who enters the show gets to participate in the challenge for free. The challenge consists of two parts: 1st, we judge your truck on its appearance and modifications. Then, you get to run laps down the drag strip. The quicker you go, the more points you earn. Add that to the points you earned in the first part of the competition and you get a score.
We gave away thousands of dollars in prizes and cash last year. It was awesome. We had domestics, imports, diesels, show trucks and dedicated drag trucks all on the same track burnin up the tires.
The goal is to find the fastest and coolest looking trucks in the country. If you guys are into it, visit sporttruck.com for more info or shoot me an email and i'll get you more info. thanks!

Elaborate on your scoring. I can scare up some serious horsepower, but if it's skewed to the frame draggers then it's kind of pointless for the racers to show up.

Looks to me like it's skewed a lil more towards the show side, this is the list of the top 15 trucks from last year:
http://www.sporttruck.com/eventcover...e/results.html
Lot of slow trucks on there. Fastest truck of the meet ran 10.0@139 and didn't even make the top 15 trucks, so I'm not sure how the point scale works if a 16sec truck can take the #3 spot, 6 seconds should be able to make up for a show quality stereo and custom interior.

That's what I figured from the videos I saw. I didn't see the results page so thanks for linking that.
I'll write him directly since it doesn't appear he's going to respond here and see if I can get a specific set of rules about where the points come from.
