Stock times for the Grand Cherokee srt-8
Took the new GCSRT8 out to my local track. DA was 3250ft with a crazy head wind and thunderstorms passing overhead. The jeep has 900km's on it, 9 days old.
Best run:
60' 1.941
330' 5.609
1/8 8.726
mph 78.89
1000' 11.402
1/4 13.652
mph 100.11
Corrected with the 3250ft DA, 13.13@104.2mph
Got a 1.901 60's another run, would easily be a deep 1.8 without the DA.
Beat a modded lightning, faster then a srt-8 charger with a CAI and much faster then 90's 5.0 stang.
Also got to race a TBSS with heads, cam, headers and a 3200stall converter. Overall his best runs were 1/10th better then mine, but he was suffering from heat soak much worse then me so out of the 3 runs, I beat him twice by a couple 10th's. Liking the jeep so far, crazy fast suv.

Congrats! That is crazy fast. I'll have to watch out for those. Correcting for DA will usually give you optimistic numbers. Correct for the Track elevation only. Our track is at 5,800' and the DA can reach 10,000'+ and is never below 8,000'. I correct for 5,800' and am right on par with my sea level numbers. I can't belive how fast that thing is. Is it a stick or auto? Did you run in 2, or 4wd?

They only come in an auto, 4wd, though you can pull a abs fuse to force it into 2wd, if someone wanted to put some slicks on. My elevation is at 2300ft, still works out to a 13.25 or so. The jeep should get a little faster once I cross the 150hour mark, they limit the power a little until then. That tbss should be in the high 12's with the mod's hes got. Maybe he's lacking a tune which would hurt him big time.

Yea GM really pisses me off too, now you can get a dealer installed twin screw for $6000 and 500hp at the crank on new Mustang GT's...on the newstands now. 90% sure, that's what I recall.

I would not say the Jeep SRT 8 makes the Trailblazer SS lookes like a joke though. 400hp in a small SUV is pretty impressive. Not sure what is conservative about that?? The availibility of bolt ons for the SS can make up the difference with ease.
