Tested out the TR220
wats up guys...well tuesday night i got my TR220 installed, early wednesday i got it retuned and widebanded, wednesday night I ran it at EIRT. I got there like an hour before it closed so I only got to run it twice and didnt get to let it cool down. Well lately i've been hearing a clinking sound coming from my differental and took it to HotRodzShop in McAllen and they told me it was my G80 giving out little by little. Sure enough, my 2 runs were both one-legged runs ...1st run I hit a 13.5 @99.5mph with a 2.0 60ft...2nd run I hit a 13.3@100mph with a 1.9 60ft. ....I guess they weren't too bad for being a one-legger, wat do u guys think??

Doesn't sound like too bad of times to me. Time for a Tru-trac!
What gears are you running? Might be a good time to think about those too since the ring has to come out anyway to replace the G-80.

The eatons are ok too and you probably won't see a huge gain going to 4:10s from 3:73s, but it should help a little and I don't think it will affect gas milage much. I like the Tru-trac better becuse they don't have any clutches to eventually wear out. I would think the Tru-trac has a little better holding power too using gears. Just my opinion though I'm sure you will be happy with either choice.

I have the eaton and 4.11 yukons. Don't let the clutch design fool you. Take a turn on anything over a quarter throttle and the **** locks up. You wil never get a feeling of peg legness. tru-tracs are good, but if the clutches do wear out, you can rebuild them I love my eaton
