Sounds like a lot for a RCSB. IDK what you weigh, but I'll say you're 200#. 1/2 say 13 gal @~8= 104#. Call it a 100#. So, it's 4500#? I thought the pre 2003 were lighter trucks.

Lots. Silver-mod-o, granted he's 2wd did all kinds of stuff to lighten. IIRC, he was~3800. I don't recall many, if any, that low.
Search, but there might even be a sticky.
Usual stuff: Remove spare, hitch. Tailgate, bumper. Some even remove braces. Sound deadening & other little things are gettin a tad extreme.
Easy stuff: No excess crap. If u don't need it to run, then don't.
1/4 tank of gas. Sometimes it a tough call, like myself, I'm 70 mi from track. But try to get close.
Oh ya, lite wheels/ tires. But now, you're spendin $ to lighten.
That's the quick list.

Lol no. Truck has already been 7.54 with 1.73 60' on juice. I don't do it to beat anyone else. Just love doin it but ill race anyone. I would bet if I converted it to 2wd and bolted some slicks on it would run 7.9s in good weather. I ran my best time in 100 degree weather just like we have right now here in texas.
