Good runs but you got a ways to go, I ran 15.1@88 in my rcsb 01' Silvy with a 4.3L N/A. That was a good running truck for what it was. I posted up a long time ago what mods I had on it to get there.

Listen to it.

Sounds like my wife's impala when the cats blew out

If you want better times, just do a V8 swap. I went from the 4.3 to the 4.8 (wish I'd had gone to at least the 5.3 now), and it's like night and day...unless you've really got your heart set on that whole fastest n/a 4.3 thing.

Not picking but I'd take a 4.3L over a 4.8L any day. I thought about trading my 4.3 in for an identical truck with a 4.8L, but after the test drive I decided not too. The 4.3L has much better TQ for cruising and taking off. The 4.8L couldnt spin the tires no matter how hard I tried. The 4.3L would spin them (both) at 3/4 throttle. I wish I still had that truck, I am looking for a cheap used one now for a little project.

With about the same fuel milage and almost 100 more hp I'd pick the 4.8L anyday. The 4.3L can be made to run very hard with boost or nitrous, but N/A the 4.8L is much better overall.

i agree 100%

i have had both, with both mildly built, and the 4.3 was great in my s-10, but it wasnt very heavy. it surely wasnt making the power this 4.8 can, i dont have many mods in it so far, and its well over 300+rwhp.... the 4.3 would not see that n/a without a complete bottom up build.... and it didnt sound very sexy either...plus parts are very expensive for the 4.3....

I wish I had that problem. My 4.8 is kinda traction impaired.

Im just seeing what I can get out of this v6 for now. When I get the money, or when I get a good job im going a 6.0 swap with a T56. Gotta change the interior too if I decide with the T56 thoguh.

Get a good job? You live in LA, why not get on an oil rig.
