Default Times from last night...

Went to the track last night and had only mediocre results. I ran a string of 13.6's. Best run was a 13.68 at 103.45 with a 2.25 60'.

My raceweight was probably around 5000 pounds. Took off my bed cover, tailgate, backseat, and subs. I was dissapointed and I though I would run in the 13.4-5 range.

The wind was horrible going directly against the direction cars were going. Last run was against a 04 lightning which ran a 14.2 against my 13.68.

Im kind of dissapointed with my times considering I took off at least 300 pounds and last time full weight I was trapping 104.5mph.

I think that cutting better 60's with some et streets might be good for 3-4 tenths of a second. Going from a 2.25 to a 1.9 60' is good along for almost 4 tenths alone. Add a 3.1 pulley and a PI conveter might help for another couple of tenths.

Thoughts/suggestions?

I will also be buying some caltracs very soon.

Generally speaking, .35 quicker 60' ET = .7 quicker ET @ the long end.

While this is true and I'm all for it, I'd get the ET Streets and Caltracs, first!

Yes, that was my trucka and the headwind was horrible. It was frustrating considering I went through the trouble of taking the weight off my truck and running only a tenth faster and 1.5mph slower.

If the tenth in the 60' equals 2 tenths in the 1/4, that is music to my ears!

Well, pulley will definately come later, If the trans comes out, a converter will probably have to go in just because the labor would be basically free. We'll see.

I wonder what type of 60' I can pull with a stock stall w/ et streets and cal-tracs?

Jason, I wouldnt be so disapointed. Did you calculate the DA for both times you are comparing? What about headwind? Just because you lost weight doesnt mean you'll run faster unless the conditions were the same as your last good time
