John, get those 3 fat chicks out of the TBSS when running it and you'll hit 11's for sure!

LMFAO @ Holty!

Thanks Norcal, you definitely need to get it to the track!

Bad - Now you got me thinking about blowing the trans up this Friday for test and tune! lol I've talked with others about it and there is NO reason this thing should only be pulling 1.90 sixty foots, that is crazy! I will pull that #61 fuse and see what happens.

Next time pull the #61 fuse under the hood. Even if you tune it out, or turn it off the Stabilitrac will still grab your rear brakes on launch. I pulled it just for grins to see what would happen and now I can break the tires loose with that fuse out. Mine is a AWD too And you definitly have more torque then me.
he has over 20k miles on the tranny with tvs. other than the fluid being a little brown its fine.

Good times, wonder why TBSS all seem to trap so much higher than me... I ran the same day as a blown TBSS (2WD) last time at the track, Similar 60', similar 1/8th ET and MPH, Similar 1/4 ET (12.5x, me 12.6x) but he traped at 111 vs my 106. Could it just be the 80e?

The 4L80E gears are
1: 2.48
2: 1.48
3: 1.00
4: .75

The 4L70E gears are the same as the 60/65 the 4L70 uses larger front and rear five-pinion planetaries.
1: 3.06
2: 1.62 (1.63 depending on who you talk to)
3: 1.00
4: .70

I am pretty sure Kooner has 4.10 gears and depending on what you have will obviously all play a role in that.

Thanks Dew, I understand the trans differences, just wondering how I can be at the 1/8 damn near same time, same speed and just a hair behind at the 1/4 but be 5mph slower. Seems like he should have walked me the second half of the track. Now we weren't racing against each other, only comparing slips. I guess it'll take us going heads up for me to comprehand whats happening. Oh and I've got 3.73 gears and the TBSS in question had 4.10 in case you were curious.

Yeah that TBSS is probably grabbing 4th gear while I am guessing you are still in 3rd?

The TBSS running the same boost and blower? You say the 1/4 is similar but .1 is probably 5mph in the trap, but why he walks a little faster in the end....tons of variables. Maybe your IAT advance table is a little more aggressive than his. You lose any timing as you go down the track? Losing one degree will make a difference, especially past the 1/8th mile. Just offering all the things that could make a difference.

the top end of a ls2 is where its gaining on you. not sure where your shift points are but a stock ls2 tbss shifts around 6600.
