Nothing wrong with the full slick just kinda overkill.They require a longer bigger burnout. Also depending on how your track runs you can choose to go street tire, or slick. Depending on what has more cars, so you can get more runs. A 10" tire, will be great on a 8" wheel.

There's nothing wrong with running a radial. The SSR we did running a 408 and TVS2300 making around 700RWHP and 700RWTQ pulled a 1.57 60' on a drag radial on an un-prepped track. That was on a 325/40R18. If your suspension works well you should be able to get away with the 275/55R16 M&H drag radial. With your truck having the 4L80E your launch should be a bit softer than those running a 60E also due to the gearing. If you're stuck on a slick I'd just stick a 28x10.5 on there as that's enough to go well faster than you have the power for.

i run them on 16x10 but it seems like some guys hear are hooking as good if not better on the 16x8, which is what i wan to try next...
