a buddy of mine was there and was launching hard with a 1.7 60ft and a running a 12.02 et, so i'm thinkin now that i definately got off on to where they mopped the track.

what is it, for every 1/10 drop in 60ft times should net a 2/10 drop in ET? if that is close then if i can hook and get a 1.9 60ft, that should net me ~1.2 ET reduction. also if i can get back 1/2 the time i spent out of the throttle - 1.5secs. that would be approx 2.7sec ET drop and would equate to a 13.85 ET.

sound reasonable? there are those running not that much more power than me who are deep into the 13's.
Wow, that would be quite a jump to go from a 2.5 to a 1.9 60' time... . Not sure if tires alone would do that for you. I guess it really depends on the run though. I was pulling pretty consistant mid to low 1.9 60' times and the best I could get was a 14.2xx @ 93. I had a few 1.94's and a few 1.95's, but still couldnt get into the 13's.....stupid heavy truck. Also I think a 1/10 increase in your 60' time will bump you more than 2/10's in the E.T. More like 4/10's (2/5's...LOL) i thought...but im not positive.

Good luck.

u will not run 13.85 with your current mods. You have a mid 15 second truck.

Well, i for one can say that i ahve been behind the wheel in a lane after a cleanup....
The clean up was not so good you could say.I did almost exactly what you did.
Except right off the line i went up in smoke....let off put it down again smoke again....let off, put it down smoke again...did this one more time before it finally hooked.
I ran a 17.xx at i wanna say 92mph.My 60ft suffured as anyone should be able to tell with that much spinning...but that didn't mean the next run i ran a 13sec et...
All in all your a mid 15 sec truck thats just how it is..

You guys must not realize that a stock 5.3 RCSB 2wd is a mid to low 15 sec truck. I'd say that a low 14 to high 13 is attainable with his mods.

a stall and headers are not gonna give him a full second.

your trap speed is a dead giveaway to a low 15 second truck. That stall isnt going to give much improvement on a stock cam. Add a bigger cam and you will gain alot.

Agreed, but he has a little more than two mods. I don't belive that his trap speed can be used as good info either becasue it sounds like he wasn't even full throttle for about 1/3 of the track.

thanks tom.

there is more than a headers and a stall. do have cam, cai, gears, tune.

i am running pretty much the same setup TDRUMM has and what KANO used to run. not sure if TDRUMM has run the 1320, but i am pretty sure KANO was down in the mid-13s.

i have beat a known mid-14sec turbo eclipse by 6-7 from a 15-20 roll, a supercharged harley truck by 3 on a 9mph roll, and went with a 13.3 TA from about 20 and he got me after 2nd gear.

my dyno last summer in 95* heat, with manifolds, no cai, before the stall and gears, running a tune that was so pig rich it fell off of the chart put down 290rwhp/318rwtq. today i am pretty sure i would be where TDRUMM is at.

i know my truck isn't capableof a 12sec run, yet, but is definately quicker than 15sec.
