Default Track Times With Gm Performance Parts On SS

We have been working on a few head cam combinations with the objective being to build streetable 12 second daily driver with only gm performance parts. The test vehicle is a 04 SS Silverado. Just to be honest about it we have this vehicle tested just as we would drive it on the street with the spare tire, trailer hitch, tailgate, & probably 150 lbs of stereo in the back.

I have always gained a wealth of info from this website so hopefully this will give you guys some info to work with.

15.40 stock
-15.22 with smaller 275/45R20
-14.76 tuned the same night with 26 degrees of timing @ 12.8 AFR
-13.96 with gm hot cam, 3200 midwest stall,28 degrees of timing,@ 12.5 AFR
-13.73 with the GM ASA cam (226/236 110 lsa) 30 degrees of timing, full tank of gas half of which is filled with 114 octane, & 12.9 AFR
-13.53 @ 98 mph with the addition of the GM cnc'd race LS6 61.9 cc combustion chambers with half 114 octane on an almost full gas tank with 27 degrees of timing. (the truck ran consistant et's with the afr from 11.5 - 13.1. ran best with the afr @ 12.3)

-13.35 with the addition of dual cutouts, GM highflow cold air, & gibson shorty headers. The IAT was 98 degrees with 27 degrees of timing & a half tank of 114 race gas on a decent at best speed density tune. The AFR was commanded @ 12.2.

60' 1.831
330 5.413
1/8 8.445
mph 80.57
1/4 13.359
mph 99.28

Interesting note- the truck ran the same as previous week with the cutouts sealed on back to back runs(13.53-13.57) indicating the CAI & shorty headers did not change the performance??

I hope this info may be useful to some.

We have not made any passes on pump gas only. The vehicle has been tuned on pump gas though. With the high compression ratio due to the the small cc heads I can only put a limited amount of timing (17-20 degrees).

The truck has not been weighed but it has all standard equipment along with a dual 10 box under the seat & a couple of shoe box size amps.

we are going to install the ls2 intake, trailblazer tb, electric fans & then the L92 set-up.

Excellent info. I don't think that most people would run 114 octane in a DD though so the tuning and performance results wouldn't be as real world as they could be. I don't have the ability to change my PCM tunes as easily as you could. But that's not your problem I do really appreciate you taking the time to share your results. Would it be possible to dyno the truck right now and also after the next two mods? That would speak the most to me.
Thanks again for all your hard work.

Shift points are @ 6800 1st & 6500 2nd. @ 27 degrees of timing no detonation with 114. on pump gas 17 degrees no detonation @ 12.5 afr.

No joke we just got 19.8 average economy on I-20 on a trip to shreveport.
