[QUOTE=mwalls54]I would have never thought that cam would spin that high.

i did not think so either, everything i read said that it did make high peak numbers. it actually makes gobs of power. with the gears & smaller tires it just rapes through 1st gear really quick. second gear hangs out alot..... but it is the lesser of two evils. Third gear is such a ***** i believe that is why it doesn't MPH out very well.

Cool project! Glad to hear results like these. I think it would do better with a 2600 stall and smaller cam (like a 224/224-114+4) IMO that truck is too heavy for that big of a cam. Then, I'd slap a LS6 intake on it, that would be a good set-up I think. I'd like to race this truck if I can get ahold of some slicks. I think it would be pretty close.

Man that cam sounds killer I wonder if it would work well on my 04 SS AWD with Ls6 springs and stock stall? Also I wonder if nelson performance could tune this thing so it idles well?

Man, that cam and scarily tame sounding combination are doing a lot better than I would expect! Good job!

Do any of you have problems smogging your trucks with the asa? Has anyone tried different ratio rockers to bump up lift on this cam?

Do you live in an area that has the tailpipe sniffer? If you live in an area that has the OBDII plug in emmissions, it is easy to pass just about any cam with tuning. If you have the sniffer, rule of thumb I read is 224/224 is the limit with ideal tuning.
