Track times needed for a RCSB 00-06 chevy at the 400RWHP level
What kind of track times should you expect to see at the 400RWHP or 500RWHP level in the 1/4mi
I am getting ready to get a 408 and just wanting to know if nitrous will be needed for my goal of 11.90's-11.60's 1/4mi range
Thanks

id be carefull with how you use horsepower for your ruler, its a tuning tool and track times are the real deal.
also its hard to say what it will do, it all depends on your budget. a 408 with heads, cam, and proper bolt ons can run mid to high 11s... but it can also run 12s.
there are a few guys pulling the times your looking for off the spray
good luck! i say a 408 with a fast 90, heads and a cam you will be were you want to be, just hope your 4l60e holds up to your new found power!

In a regular cab 400RWHP should be getting you around a 12.00 to high 11's and at around 500RWHP you'll be pushing low 11's to high 10's. Of course this is if you are getting every bit of hp you make to work for you.

I know but I am just trying to get a good idea of what potential there is at that level. I will be keeping the stock intake for the stealth look. I dont think it will be worth doing the conversion over to the fast90 for what I am looking to accomplish with it. for $1000 there is more potential in nitrous than what a fast 90 can do for me. As far as my trans goes its fully built! so no worries there.

yeah i noticed you had the built tranny after, it will be fine. ive been looking around and you should be able to reach your goal with that set up. me i would have some fun with the set up for a while get it tuned in then go ahead and put a 100shot on it just for fun!
