I'm using my 99 fuel rail w/ 05 injectors and 99 throttle cable. I went through the traps around 3700-4000 in 3rd.
The 99 pcm could definately be an issue...mine was throwing false knock pretty bad (99 pcms are known for that) swapped it out for an 02. The injectors wouldn't be a problem. Does your truck start easily up on the first crank & idle smoothly?

yeah starts pretty easy. Once in a blue moon it will kinda sputter when starting.. but idles fine and no other issues. So you think I should request a newer PCM from Nelson on my retune?

I would put it on my mod list that is for sure. I know nelson charges quit a bit...you may want to consider the cost of everything and see if it wouldn't just be better going to a straight wheatley tune with 02 pcm. What all did you ask for in your tune like tq management, ect..?

Whenever you get a chance, post all the #'s on the slip it will help determine where something is going on. I'm sure trever1t or somebody with a similar weighted truck on the fastest truck list has a old timeslip you can compare mods/times.

Definitely not right. I've never weighed mine. I race with the tonneau cover on. All I do is yank the spare tire so I can mark my parking space. My best run to date (1/8 mile):

60 - 2.294
330 - 6.507
1/8 - 10.008
@ 70.77

A week later I went to a different track for my only 1/4 times to date. I can't find the slip right now, but I was disappointed with a 15.7. Not sure what was up as my 60s were a full tenth slower than at the 1/8 track.

Mods are below (minus the catback), stock 3.73 gears, 30" tires. I take off in 4wd so I don't have to scrub the tires (not that it's much of a problem anyway). The tune is by me and at this stage is mostly just fixing the factory fueling - I intend to start turning the wick up more this season.

That doesn't really sound that slow to me, it sounds about right for the mods you have.

ok I've got two timeslips... gain of stock vs. 35s was a little more than i originally thought, but still slow.

35s -

60' - 2.428
330' - 6.811
1/8 - 10.442 @ 68.0 MPH
1000 - 13.583
1/4 - 16.263 @ 83.60

stockers -

60' - 2.341
330' - 6.646
1/8 - 10.272 @ 67.55 mph
1000 - 13.466
1/4 - 16.186 @ 82.74 mph

Sounds at least half a second slower than it should to me. Try that 02 pcm, that 99 may be the problem.

Larger tire usually results in higher trap speeds, especially when he's cutting better 60ft times with the stockers. He's getting to the end quicker with the stockers not faster.
